Chief Financial Officer
Ashley was appointed to the Board upon joining the group as Chief Financial Officer in 2014. Prior to joining the group, Ashley was CFO EMEA at GroupM, WPP's media division. Ashley has in excess of 20 years experience in the media sector, having also previously held global CFO positions at Aegis Media and Tarsus Group plc. Ashley qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers, working within their Media and Entertainment division after graduating from Reading University with an honours degree in History and International Relations.
Thomas Harding has been a non-executive director of PERFORM since 2014. Tom works with Jörg Mohaupt on media/online and telecoms investments at Access Industries, as well as heading-up Access's European legal function. Prior to joining Access, he was a lawyer in Weil, Gotshal and Manges' London private equity team. Tom has an MA from the University of Cambridge and subsequently studied at City University (law) and London Business School (finance). He is a director of AINMT Holdings AB, an officer of Access Industries, Inc. and a trustee of The Blavatnik School of Government Foundation at the University of Oxford.
Paul Walker is the Company's Non-Executive Chairman. Paul served as Chief Executive Officer of The Sage Group Plc from 1994 to September 2010. Sage is an international business with over 14,500 employees and a turnover in excess of £1.4 billion. Paul joined Sage Group Plc as Company Accountant in 1984 and served as its Finance Director until 1994. Paul has been a Non-Executive Director of Experian plc since June 2010 and has been a Non-Executive Director of Diageo Plc since June 2002. He is currently Chair of the Newcastle Science City Partnership and is a director of the Entrepreneurs' Forum. Paul previously served as a Non-Executive Director of MyTravel Group Plc from December 2000 to December 2004. Paul qualified as a chartered accountant at Ernst & Young, having graduated from York University with an economics degree.
Oliver Slipper was appointed to the Board in 2007. He was formerly the Chief Executive Officer of Premium TV, prior to its amalgamation with Inform Group in 2007. Oliver joined Premium TV in 2001 as Commercial Manager where he launched and managed the Company's web-TV and mobile services. In 2003, Oliver was promoted to the role of Commercial Director and became responsible for all revenue generation across the PERFORM Group. In 2005, Oliver was appointed Chief Executive Officer, a role he held for two years, with highlights including the negotiation of the sale of the business to Access Industries and the subsequent merger with Inform Group to create PERFORM. Prior to Premium TV, Oliver worked at Accenture within the media and entertainment team, where he worked for clients including Cable & Wireless, NTL and Sony Playstation advising on digital strategies. Oliver holds a BA Hons in Classical Studies from Manchester University
Chief Executive Officer
Simon Denyer was appointed to the Board in 2007. The founder of Inform Group in 2004, Simon was its Managing Director prior to its amalgamation with Premium TV in 2007. Prior to Inform Group, Simon was head of digital rights at IMG, sales director at Sportal and started his career in sports media at Haymarket Publishing. He has worked with major sports rights holders in the exploitation of their rights over digital media for the past 12 years. Simon holds a BA Hons in Economics and Geography from Loughborough University.
Independent Non-Executive Director
Peter Williams recently retired as the Finance Director of Daily Mail and General Trust plc ("DMGT"), having held that role from 1991 until March 2011. He joined the DMGT group in 1982, having previously qualified as a chartered accountant with Thomson McLintock and worked for three years as an accountant with Grindlays Bank. During his time with DMGT, he served as a non-executive director of Bristol Evening Post plc, GWR Group plc (subsequently Gcap Media plc) and Euromoney Institutional Investor plc. He has also served as a Non-Executive Director of Ibis Media VCT1 plc since 2006 and was chairman of a committee of the 100 Group of FTSE 100 Finance Directors between 2008 and 2010.
Jörg Mohaupt was appointed to the Board when Access Industries acquired the Company in 2007. Jörg is responsible for the media/online and telecom businesses at Access Industries, which he joined in May 2007. He was previously a Managing Director of Providence Equity Partners. Jörg has been active in the media and communications space since 1992. He has, as an investor, been involved with several businesses dealing with sports rights (RGE Group, Digiturk), internet services (Bibit NV, Adyen, Speedera Networks) and content delivery (Casema NV, Comhem AB). Jörg's current board positions include Tory Burch LLC, Rebate Networks GmbH, AINMT Holdings AB, RGE Group Limited, Icon UK Distribution Holdings Limited and Mendeley Research Networks. Prior board positions include Digiturk, Casema NV, Comhem AB, Bibit BV, VersaTel Telecom NV and Speedera Networks Inc.
