Inmobi and PERFORM announce mobile ad sales partnership in Africa
Inmobi to exclusively represent mobile advertising sales for PERFORM owned Goal.com, the regions' leading football portal
France, Paris - 23 January, 2012 - InMobi, the world's largest independent mobile ad network, has announced a mobile advertising partnership with digital sports media group PERFORM for leading football news website Goal.com.
The exclusive partnership covers all African traffic to m.goal.com, the mobile version of the world's largest football website, which is owned and powered by digital sports media business, PERFORM.
InMobi will sell over half a billion mobile ad impressions this year from traffic to m.goal.com, with the finals of the 2012 African Cup of Nations in January and February boosting traffic from Africa as fans head to the mobile site for the latest news from the competition.
"As the world's largest football website with over 20 million unique users each month, we needed a mobile ad network with the necessary scale and reach to match the size and ambition of our operation," comments Daryn Wober, Managing Director, Global Business Development, PERFORM. "Furthermore we needed a partner who has experience working with the growing African mobile advertising industry as we continue to grow our business in the region."
"This is a significant new partnership for InMobi and for our customers," comments Rob Jonas, VP & MD, EME, InMobi. "Our extensive network, combined with this agreement with Goal.com, gives us unrivalled reach across the whole of the African continent to help us deliver our target impressions each month. Partnering with such a high-profile premium site continues to reinforce InMobi's reputation amongst publishers as a truly global premium ad network, and we are looking forward to working with Goal.com to bring mobile ads to consumers across all of Africa."
