PERFORM launches Singapore and Malaysia editions of Goal.com

Appoints Interactive Hub as Exclusive Advertising Sales Representative in Asia

Singapore, Tuesday 24th January 2012 - Global digital sports media company PERFORM has today announced the launch of both Singapore and Malaysia editions of Goal.com, the world's largest football website. To accompany this, the sports media group has also confirmed that Interactive Hub will manage advertising sales for all of PERFORM's sports media across key territories in Asia.

Goal.com is owned by PERFORM and is the world's largest football website which in November 2011 reached over 21 million unique users (Google Analytics), had 1.7 million Facebook fans and 48 million mobile page views. The site currently comes in 22 different language editions and has contributions from over 400 editorial staff globally.

Using a combination of market relevant editorial, video and data content, the new Singapore and Malaysia editions will feature in-depth coverage of local and international football news from around the globe. The website will be complimented by a Goal.com mobile application which will be readily available across all major mobile operating platforms.

In Asia, Goal.com has a very strong following with over seven and half million monthly unique users and 99 million page views (Google Analytics). It currently has five dedicated editions in Asia: Indonesian, South Korean, Japanese, Hong Kong and Chinese.
PERFORM acquired Goal in early 2010 and have quickly enhanced its content offering by adding video news, highlights and data feeds from hundreds of football competitions and leagues globally.
Tim Holland, PERFORM Asia's Managing Director commented: "Goal.com has been experiencing year on year growth leading to a reach of an average of 21 million global unique users a month. As football is one of the most popular sports in Singapore and Malaysia, we believe that there will be a huge demand for a localised edition in these two countries. We're also excited to announce our partnership with Interactive Hub. They have a good grasp of the Asian market with great contacts and we look forward to them attracting some leading brands to the Goal.com site."

Advertising and Sponsorship sales will be handled by Interactive Hub (IHPL), a subsidiary of iHub Media group, which has entered into a partnership with PERFORM. IHPL have been appointed by PERFORM as the exclusive sales representative for Goal.com in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Thailand. The deal will also see IHPL represent ePlayer, the world's leading sports video network as well as the other premium sports sites in PERFORM's portfolio.

"We are excited to be a partner of PERFORM in Asia. Goal.com has a very active user base with over 70% of the audience viewing Goal more than once per day. 20% of them view Goal.com more than 100 times per month. This presents a very good opportunity for advertisers who want to reach out to the tech-savvy football community in Singapore and Malaysia," said Kenniess Wong, Managing Director of Interactive Hub.
